Chair: Storm Yanicks Ph. (206) 232-8096
All Mountaineers and Guests are welcome
to attend any Retired Rovers activity listed in the Go Guide.
For more information, contact the Chairperson listed above.

Most RETIRED ROVERS are experienced, longtime members of the Mountaineers, interested in continuing less strenuous and more social activities.

Climbers, scramblers, backpackers, and folkdancers become Retired Rovers. We all have a common interest in walking, talking and eating, and keeping touch with old friends in the Mountaineers.

  • Two or three hikes each month.
  • A sociable walk around Magnuson Park after each monthly meeting (2nd Tue) weather permitting
  • A week at one of the lodges each summer, usually Mt. Baker
  • A summer picnic at a shelter in a local park, also followed by a sociable walk

Our monthly meetings (2nd Tue 11:00 am) at the Mountaineers Seattle clubhouse, includes a brown-bag lunch, a review of coming activities, and sometimes a program related to mountaineering interests.

Please come join us, and bring your Mountaineer friends.
