7:30 AM

Coleman Dock Ferry Terminal to take the 7:55 ferry

This is a beautiful hike along the Bainbridge south shoreline, from an historic 1907 home in the small neighborhood of South beach through Fort Ward Park and then along Pleasant Beach. Coffee at Lynwood Center and then to South Beach for lunch. Optional short steep 1/3 mile walk up the infamous Toe Jam Hill to Nute's pond, the newest park on the island.

This is part of Island Series Hikes led by Julie Miller (julandmil@comcast.net, 206-283-1406) and Kathy Biever (eskay39@comcast.net, 206-283-9047). Meet at 7:30 at Coleman Dock to take 7:55 ferry to Bainbridge. OR meet at 8:30 at the ferry dock on Bainbridge. After we get a final count we'll determine how many cars we'll need to take to the island. Stay tuned. Bring lunch to eat on the island.
