Trail head in Dungeness National

BEFORE PLANNING OR GOING ON THIS HIKE, CHECK THE TIDE TABLES: A Low Tide of 1 foot or less (minus tide is even better) at the midpoint of your hiking day is recommended. Hike along a narrow piece of beach that leads to a light house and views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The spit is a wildlife sanctuary and home to several speices of bird. $3 day use fee per person or family. Golden Eagle, Golden Age, Golden Access, Federal Duck Stamp, the Dungeness NWR Annual Pass,“America the Beautiful”, Annual, Senior, Volunteer, and Access passes are accepted. NW Forest pass is not accepted. Map is available at the trailhead.

Hopefully we will hit the tides right. I tend to be slower than the group, but don't require the group to wait for me.
