Grady Way Park & Ride

After repeated washouts, MRNP has decided to turn the Carbon River road into a trail. A great opportunity to hike in low-elevation old growth forest. National Parks Pass required at trailhead.

Magnificent old growth rain forest, lush carpets of moss and lichens, mind-boggling ginormous trees that will take your breath away and a waterfall to top it all off. Conifers are capable of transporting water hundreds of feet into the air and supporting thousands of pounds of mass. A whole host of plants, animals and insects live in their canopies. Come learn about the conifers and the web of life in the temperate rain forest.
