Backpack - Mirror Lake
Family friendly backpack near Snoqualmie pass. A short trek will take us through forests, across delicate streams, and past brightly colored wildflowers. We will camp at Mirror lake. Registration priority for Backpacking with Kids 2023 and 2022 course participants until 6/1 and then registration available to any adult with a child with leader permission.

Mirror Lake Lower Trailhead Parking Lot - details will be provided a week before trip via email.
This is an easy going family friendly backpacking trip with priority for Backpacking with Kids 2022 and 2023 course participants.
Northwest Forest Pass or America the Beautiful Pass required for parking.
Tentative schedule
Saturday June 24th
Arrive at lower trailhead at 9:15am, ready to hike by 10am. We will hike 1.5 miles gaining 725ft passing by another lake, through a beautiful forest and lovely streams. We will camp at Mirror Lake. We will be going a leisurely pace. Camping early will mean lots of time to play and explore.
Sunday June 25th
Pack up camp in the mid-morning to afternoon and head back to parking lot - maybe get post backpacking treats together depending on how the group is feeling.

Required Equipment
The Ten Essentials plus overnight gear which may include:
- Tent with footprint/ground tarp
- Stove and fuel
- Sleeping bag
- Sleeping pad
- Water filter
- Bear canister or extra stuff sack and cord designated for hanging food
- Cooking pot/pan with plate and utensils
- Toilet paper and shovel or blue bag to deal with waste
