Now that the weather is getting nicer and we're all dreaming about plans for long weekends, we wanted to highlight a few summer activities to help you get outside and give you trip ideas of your own!
Mountaineers volunteers will lead hundreds of trips all summer long, and we selected a small portion to help you jump right in. Be sure to check the website regularly for new activities and events for new opportunities to get outside and explore nature.

Photograph one of Seattle's most unique historical sites at the former Georgetown Steam Plant.
Sail on the adventuress - june 9
Come explore the Puget Sound while sailing aboard a historic tall ship. Participants are encouraged to join in to raise the sails, sing a sea shanty or two, and enjoy one of our shipboard classes. Or just sit back and enjoy the scenery!
SNOQUALMIE TUNNEL Hike - June 18
A great hike through the historic 2.3-mile Snoqualmie Tunnel, stopping for lunch at a picnic table with a nice view and then continuing west on the John Wayne Trail!

SQUAMISH SEA TO SKY - PHotography Urban Adventure July 14
Ride the Sea to Sky Gondola, then take pictures from viewing platforms and on short trails. Great for those who want great views and to get outdoors, but don't have the stamina for long hikes.

HIKE THE DUNGENESS SPIT - Hike July 20
One of the best hikes of the Pacific Northwest, with a free tour of the lighthouse where there are numerous historical exhibits to explore, and a variety of wildlife is visible along the trail.
BERKELEY PARK NEAR MOUNT RAINIER - Photography Wildflower Hike Aug 9
From Sunrise in Mount Rainier National Park, hike along Sourdough Ridge, past Frozen Lake to Berkeley Park. Enjoy excellent views of Mount Rainier. The perfect time of the year for wildflowers, the group will stop to take photos along the way.
