Seattle Summer Camps
Join us in Seattle for a summer of camp magic, adventure, and fun! We're excited to offer Day Camps for campers aged 6–12, and Overnight Camps for campers aged 9-17. We can't wait to climb, swim, sing, and craft with you in Seattle and beyond!
PROGRAMS
We offer several different types of camp programs in Seattle: Day Camp and various overnight programs. To learn more about each program visit our Seattle Camp Overview page or reach out to our summer camp team.
DAY CAMPS
Join in on the adventure with the Seattle Mountaineers! Day camp is based out of the Seattle Program Center at Magnuson Park for campers ages 6–12 and runs from 9am to 4pm each day. Each week consists of rock climbing, outdoor skills, swimming, games, crafts, and camp songs. Additionally, every week has a field trip and activities tailored to the theme of the week.
OVERNIGHT CAMPS
Campers ages 8-17 are invited to join us for overnight programs located at our rustic mountain lodges! Previously an adventure camp program, lodge camps provide community-building and outdoor exploration opportunities (hiking, swimming, rafting and more!) all summer long. Instruction, food, and gear are included. All programs start and end at the lodge.
CIT PROGRAM
Join us in Seattle for a summer of camp magic, adventure, and fun! We’re excited to offer Counselor In Training (CIT) opportunities to teens and camp grads aged 13–17. Join day camp as a volunteer over the summer to learn the ins and outs of being a camp counselor and hone your leadership and camp skills.
Applications for our CIT program open in February and are accepted on a rolling basis until our schedule is full.
REGISTRATION
Overnight Camp registration happens through The Mountaineers website and begins in early February.
Day Camp registration happens through The Mountaineers website and begins with a lottery every January. Any remaining open spots will become available on February 1 at 9am, when open enrollment for Seattle Day Camp starts.
Please note that all of our program registration can be competitive and camps fill up quickly!
Things you can do to be prepared for registration:
- Make sure your camper has an account on the website, either as a part of a Family Membership or Guest Family Membership.
- Be sure that your email address is attached to your camper's account so that you receive updates during the registration process and camp!
- Complete the required youth paperwork before registration opens in February. All campers need a complete, signed "Youth Information Form" and "Youth Programs Form" to register for camp.
- Stay up-to-date on current and new camp offerings by setting up Youth Program notifications on your account.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarships are available for youth courses. We recommend applying for a scholarship at least two weeks before you plan on enrolling in camp. If your camper will be enrolled in the day camp lottery, consider applying for a scholarship in late December or early January.
Our scholarships are granted on a needs basis, and all are encouraged to apply. We take into consideration a variety of factors, including income and other participation barriers, student status, and family circumstances.
CAN'T WAIT FOR SUMMER?
We offer After-School Programs in the fall and winter for kids to keep learning skills and stay involved with The Mountaineers! These programs happen in the late afternoon once a week for 2 months. See more on our After-School programming page.
We also offer day camp programs for campers ages 6-12 during Seattle Public School's Mid-Winter and Spring Breaks. Learn more about our school break camps and register your camper today.
