Description
Consisting of several summits with the highest topping out at just over 3,000 feet, Tiger Mountain is a locally prominent peak in the Seattle metropolitan area. One of the Issaquah Alps, it provides exceptional hiking, running, and mountain biking opportunities. Much of Tiger lies within a state forest with more than 4,000 acres managed as a Natural Resources Conservation Area. More than 60 miles of trails traverse nearly every corner of this state forest and this map covers them all as well as the forest’s extensive road system. Plan trips to Tradition Lake’s family friendly trail network—or lung busting hikes to West Tiger and Poo Poo Point with their sweeping views—or a challenging run on the 16 mile Tiger Mountain Trail (TMT) which traverses the state forest. This map also includes the nearby Taylor Mountain Forest with its more than 20 miles of trails popular with equestrians and trail runners.br>
