Urban Walk - Burke-Gilman Trail

Let's support the Dick's-A-Thon Ian Cox memorial event to raise funds for SAR, Washington National Parks Fund and Mountaineers scholarships with a half-marathon urban walk loop. The Half Dick's A Thon employs the Burke Gilman Trail and city streets to walk the 14.7 miles with vouchers for 3 Dick's menu items.

Meet at 8am at The Mountaineers marathon headquarters (Magnuson Park Program Center). Early walking start get's us out ahead of the runners and assures a finish before the 4:15pm raffle and later "Demoltion" and closing remarks.

First submit your $115 (October fee higher) registration (through the marathon website). It includes an official Dick’s-A-Thon race bib, a Dick’s-A-Thon t-shirt, vouchers for the Dick’s menu, water and electrolytes at aid stations, and a raffle ticket. Unless you register for the Virtual option, please plan to pick up your race packet on the day of the run.

We head south to University of Washington, then across NE 45th St to Dick's.  North up Latona Ave to Greenlake, then turn back easts at NE 92nd Street. North again on 15th Ave NE and east on  NE 125th Street for the Lake City Dick's.  Then SE to catch the B-G again to finish at Mountaineers Program Center.
