The brewery will be open for a Mountaineers social hour from 5:30-6:30pm. Beer will be available for purchase, and pizza will be provided by the Olympia Mountaineers.
The evening seminar on Working With Adult Learners will run from 6:30-8:30pm.
The role of a student doesn't change much from grade school, to higher education, to our Mountaineers classrooms-- but the needs of the intrinsically-motivated adult learner are different than that of the K-16 student! Join us for a hands-on workshop examining the three key phases of instruction: planning, implementing, and assessing, as we consider them with our adult students in mind. This workshop is intended for anyone who supports students in Mountaineers courses, and may be of particular benefit to those who work behind-the-scenes to build courses, curriculum, instruction, and testing.
Please bring a piece of curriculum or course content that you are working with, or that you plan to work on in the future. If you don't bring anything, something Mountaineers-related will be provided!
