This hands-on workshop is open to any Mountaineers member or guest who is interested in improving instruction! You will leave with materials, ideas, and plans which you can put to work in your lectures, presentations, courses, classes, and field trips right away. Please bring a piece of curriculum that you have taught or will teach; if you don't have something to bring, Mountaineers-specific examples will be provided for all content areas (not just climbing-- we promise!)
Ben Brown has been a K-12 public school teacher for twelve years, and a volunteer instructor with The Mountaineers for five. He currently works as the education technologist for Walla Walla Community College where he supports faculty with designing and implementing good instructional practices. Ben is ABD on a Doctorate in Education in Instructional Systems Design and Technology and enjoys supporting the development and improvement of teaching and learning practices!
