It was through a study abroad program that they were able to revisit their love of the outdoors on a trip to Scotland, where they romped through the highlands like a goblin. Their attachment to forested urban areas and bodies of water brought them to the Pacific Northwest in September of 2023. They spent some time as a swim instructor, lifeguard, and journalist before finding their way to The Mountaineers.
