Over the last six weeks, we’ve shared how charitable donations make a difference for our Mountaineers community and the public lands we love. We are elated to announce that more than 350 members have already answered our call and helped us meet our ambitious $150,000 year-end goal. While this year-end accomplishment is certainly worth celebrating, it is just one stop along the way to our $1,569,000 annual fundraising goal. Though we have made great progress toward recovering from the financial setbacks caused by the pandemic, we are not out of the woods yet. Your financial support through charitable donations, as well as memberships, book purchases, and public events, is crucial to sustaining our programs and supporting our people and places.
Your Year-End Gifts in Action in 2022
- Funds 100% of our Volunteer Leadership Development series, including 20+ trainings between now and May 2022 that provide important continuing education opportunities for our 3,000+ volunteers.
- Fully covers the costs of need-based scholarships for 140+ youth and adults, empowering members across all branches to fully engage in courses, camps, and more.
- Invests more than $150,000 into our conservation and advocacy efforts to protect public lands by educating recreationists, leading policy collaborations with other outdoor groups, and spearheading projects that reduce our organization’s carbon footprint.
- And finally, your gift helps us reach our $1,569,000 annual fundraising goal, which supports new beginnings for aspiring adventurers and helps us share and protect our favorite outdoor places for those who follow in our boot-steps.
Our message today is simple: if your life has been positively impacted by your Mountaineers experience, we hope you’ll choose to give what you can before the clock strikes midnight on December 31. Gifts of all sizes move the needle for our mission-driving programs.
