Introduction to Hiking is a 90-minute online seminar that aims to provide those new to hiking and/or hiking in the Pacific Northwest with the knowledge and skills necessary to hike happily, responsibly, and safely.

- Weather, trail conditions
- Emergency preparedness
- Navigation tools
- Nutrition/Hydration
- Common Hazards
Course materials will include links to a variety of resources and classes for continuing learning. Non-mountaineers members can apply the course fee to the Mountaineers membership fee if they join within 30 days of taking the seminar.
