The Seattle Climbing Committee is committed to fostering a more inclusive and welcoming environment for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) climbers. Join us for an evening of community dialogue and collaborative brainstorming as we explore ways to make climbing more accessible and equitable for all.

This gathering is an opportunity for BIPOC climbers to share their experiences, perspectives, and ideas on how The Mountaineers can improve. We'll discuss topics such as but not limited to:

  • Barriers to participation: What challenges do BIPOC climbers face when accessing climbing opportunities within The Mountaineers?
  • Representation and leadership: How can we increase BIPOC representation in climbing leadership roles and decision-making processes?
  • Culturally relevant programming: What types of climbing programs and activities would be most relevant and engaging for BIPOC communities?
  • Building a welcoming community: How can we create a more inclusive and supportive environment for BIPOC climbers within The Mountaineers?

Your voice matters. Come share your thoughts and help us shape a more inclusive future for climbing.
