This badge represents the successful completion of the QYL: Camps training
**Note: Prior to earning the QYL: Camps Badge, volunteers must complete the training for becoming a qualified youth leader.**
WHAT DOES THIS BADGE ALLOW ME TO DO?
This badge allows you to participate in trips and activities associated with Day, Break, Overnight, and Adventure Camp programs for The Mountaineers.
HOW DO I GET THIS BADGE?
You must first become a Qualified Youth Leader, read our Camps Handbook, pass a short quiz that allows you to demonstrate your understanding of our policies. Please note that this badge expires after 3 years. To renew this badge you will need to retake the Qualified Youth Leader training for camps and resubmit for a background check.
Note: In the event that your background check uncovers an incident that would make you ineligible to work with youth, we will contact you directly, and you simply will not receive a badge. We will not make this information public.
