Desire to extend your winter snowshoeing, skiing and snowboarding activities to multi day adventures. Join us with this class on winter camping,
Learn to have and construct a comfortable campsite in the snow. This course will cover both winter tent camping and snow structure construction (both emergency and non-emergency shelter. Snow structure construction includes snow caves, trenches, quinzee and igloo construction.
Lecture topics will address gear, clothing, food, winter first aid concerns and tips and tricks on how make a winter overnight an enjoyable experience.
Field trip is a hands-on experience constructing a group campsite, snow shelter of your choice. Instructors will be on-hand to offer guidance and advice.
Snowshoe trekkers, snowmobile enthusiasts, snowboarders, skiers and climbers are all welcome.

SIGN-UP Procedure
Important Note: To fully register and graduate form this course, you need to sign up for these 3 separate components:
- Register for this Winter Camping Course and pay the course fee.
- Enrollment in the course will automatically enroll you in the class lecture.
- Sign-up for an available Field Trip (Need to attend after the Lecture). This a two day field trip at Paradise, Mt. Rainier N.P.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Classroom Lecture
- Overnight Field trip
- Completion of a conservation activity
