Running a successful outdoor adventure is more than tossing gear in our car and loading it up with a team. Time spent creating a thoughtful, kind, and supportive group is an essential skill that can make or break our time outside. Learn more about how creating intentional communities can benefit all Mountaineers activities, regardless of the type or length of the program.

Taylor Ganz has worked in outdoor education for over 10 years. She predominately works hiking, climbing, skiing, and fly-fishing courses in the Rocky Mountains, the desert southwest, and the Pacific Northwest. Taylor has also worked as a Wilderness Ranger, horsepacker, climbing guide, and teacher. When she's not in the mountains, Taylor is a PhD student at the University of Washington, focusing on wildlife and wildlands conservation in the American West. She also holds an MESc from the Yale School of Forestry.
