Everett Branch
About US
For over a century, the Everett Branch has sustained a tradition of adventure, companionship, and passion for the natural outdoors. We support a variety of outdoor recreation interests from sea kayaking to technical mountaineering, offering numerous courses, activities, and social events throughout the year.
We foster dynamic social communities and have a rich history of environmental stewardship, particularly fire lookout restoration and trail maintenance.
COURSES AND ACTIVITIES
Our volunteers lead outings and conduct the highest quality, most affordable outdoor courses available. We take great pride in our small class sizes and remarkable safety record.

Stewardship
Our Lookout and Trail Maintenance Crew maintains the historic lookouts on Mt. Pilchuck, Three Fingers, and Heybrook Ridge.
Keeping these structures open to the public so thousands of annual visitors may see, touch, and experience a piece of history is no easy task. Averaging 20 work parties each season, our volunteers repair and renovate fire lookouts to their original specifications dating to the 1930s and 1940s.
YOUTH AND FAMILY ACTIVITIES
Everett has a fledgling youth program that is currently seeking adult leadership
We also partner with Outdoor Youth Connections, advocating youth activities that promote recreation, education, and environmental stewardship in the natural outdoors. |

STANDING COMMITTEES
Standing committees are the heart and soul of the Branch. In addition to sponsoring outings and events, they offer courses, seminars, social gatherings, and serve the Branch in other important ways.
Committee "work" is one of the most fulfilling and rewarding Mountaineer experiences. Typically comprised of 3-12 enthusiastic members, standing committees meet regularly to advance their programs in support of the Mountaineer cause. If you want join a close-knit team that oversees Branch programs, consider getting involved on one of our committees.
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
The Branch is governed by the Executive Committee (aka Branch Council), comprised of our elected officers and standing committee representatives, who meet at least quarterly to conduct Branch business.
