International mountain guide Charlotte Austin has spent most of the past decade guiding internationally, and she's joining us tonight to share five of the most important lessons she's learned — and how those lessons can be translated into actionable, hands-on tools to make your trips safer and more successful.
Charlotte Austin is an award-winning adventure writer and international mountain guide. In her decade of guiding, she's led climbing and mountaineering expeditions in the Himalaya, Alaska, South America, and more. She is a Wilderness-EMT, extra class ham radio operator, Leave No Trace Master Trainer, and holds AIARE Level 2 certification. She's written about gender dynamics in the mountains, the benefits of debriefing after every climb, and how to start ice climbing. On May 22, 2019, she summitted Mount Everest.
