Trip

Backcountry Ski/Snowboard - Camp Muir & Anvil Rock

Third time is the charm for the April MSH ski/splitboard trip...is now a Muir Snowfield ski!

  • M2 Advanced Ski, Snow Scramble, Winter Scramble, Very Strenuous
  • Challenging
  • Mileage: 10.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 4,600 ft
  • Pace: min 1000'/hr

Due to Sunday's forecast, the MSH overnight trip is now a day ski trip up to Camp Muir.  Because of the very warm conditions, we'll meet at Paradise before 7:00 and get on the snow asap.

Baseline plan is a descent of the uptrack on the Muir Snowfield.  If the snow conditions we encounter warrant, we can pivot to a Paradise Glacier descent or the Nisqually Chute.

Please bring harness.  Leaders will have ropes.
