  • Mileage: 14.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 4,500 ft

We're meeting at 1 pm in the Sunrise Parking lot somewhere to the right of the trailhead (which starts beside the restrooms).

This is a very beautiful, semi-strenuous afternoon and early evening hike for people who like to see late afternoon sun, more wildlife, and possibly some photogenic late afternoon clouds blowing by on what is predicted to be a completely sunny day. Hiking poles are recommended as we will occasionally be crossing patches of snow. We will be spending much of the hike above treeline. We'll be hiking at a moderate pace of 1.5 to 2 mph.
