Meet at 9:30 am at the Central Meadow restrooms.
This former gravel pit was transformed into an award-winning golf course and park. It is a wonderful addition to the urban parks in Pierce County where towering concrete remnants of the past operations were preserved for visitors to enjoy. We will tour the park by connecting several paved trails into a loop then finish the trip off through the Central Meadow with a short side trip to the love locks bridge overlooking the Puget Sound. Even the cloudiest of days makes this a worthy destination.
