Day Hike - Covell Creek & Angel Falls

This Family Hike leads is gradually uphill along a beautiful Covall Creek to Curtain Falls, and then up some significant switchbacks to another great fall. It then loops around to cliffs and caves before heading down. Priority given to Families. All adults must be accompanied by a child.

  • Mileage: 4.9 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 1,280 ft

We will rendezvous at 10:30 in Randle, about 1.5 hours from Olympia, for a short caravan to the trailhead.

This trip is not for beginner hikers.  Four river crossings are involved--the water is not deep but it required rock or log walking and hopping.

The rewards are great and we will take our time.

I recommend kids be over age 7 but you can judge their willingness and ability.

The switchbacks have some steep drop-offs so we will not do them if there is any ice or snow but will take an alternative route.

There are cool shallow caves to snack or rest in!

No adults unless accompanied by a child.
