We will aim to start hiking at the Little Si trailhead at 9AM. Meeting places and times will be determined based on where participants live and what carpool arrangements they make.
This is a conditioning hike so participants should be in good condition to hike on a fairly steep grade at a steady moderate pace (1.5 mph up, 2-2.5 mph down) with few rest stops. Please do not sign up for this hike if you haven't hiked at this pace on a strenuous route comfortably in the recent past.
Follow the weather forecast at http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php?lon=-121.72900378512439&lat=47.51229368497033#.VnGDqP_SnIU. This time of year, snow showers mixed with rain showers are very likely, so good raingear, non-cotton layers, warm hat and gloves, and sturdy waterproof footwear with thick grippy soles are a must. This trail can be icy and slippery at the top and on the descent so microspikes are required. Trekking poles are a very good idea as some parts can be slippery. We may have to turn around if conditions get too treacherous toward the top.
