Day Hike - Skookum Flats
Imagine thick layers of moss and fungi and a canopy so thick with Douglas Firs, Cedars, Elms, Birch and Vine Maple trees barely allowing sunlight to reach the forest floor. An easy out and back day hike along the west bank of the White River. It is a 4.6 mile round trip but relatively flat with a few ups and downs that adding up to about 500 feet of elevation gain.
