Day Hike - Tronsen Ridge

Exploring nature for 14 miles averaging 2.25 MPH. 3 miles along 5 Mile Creek road and 4 miles along the beautiful and flowery ridge to our lunch spot on top of a lichen-painted sandstone outcropping. Vaccination badge or photographic proof of vaccination is required for this trip.

There are 3 options for parking: There are 2 or 3 spots 50 yards up 5 Mile Rd that are reachable by a low-clearance car, high-clearance vehicles have spots a little bit further up the road, park on hwy 97 near the intersection, or there is an expanded shoulder for parking 150 yards down/north the road. 

One suggestion for carpooling is Preston Park n Ride (exit 22 on I-90) at 6:00 AM.
