Run 2 of 4 for WT3 November series. This series is not connected to any course or program and is open to Mountaineers members and +1s. This mini series will consist of four individual runs happening every Tuesday morning in November, all topping out on WT3 primarily via WT3 trail and Section Line.

Intended for new to moderately experienced runners looking to keep their fitness up during shoulder season, bump their year-end vert totals, and stay motivated while we're all waiting for the snow to fall. Each of these runs is routed with specific intention to work on uphill pacing, downhill stability & confidence, as well as bolstering your head for running in the dark, all made easier by running in good company.

2/4 - Start at the E Sunset Way TH, up the Rainier trail to High School trail, to Section Line, to WT3 summit, down Section Line, return via Adventure Trail and Wetlands Trail back to E Sunset Way

The goal for this run is to make use of a short warm up with incremental hills before reaching the dense climbing of Section Line. Section Line has three distinct legs that offer differing degrees of steepness with intermittent flats ideal for recovery. This route offers good opportunities to practice conversational pace and low climbing gears, as well as opportunities to power hike and return to uphill pace.

Circle up at E Sunset Way TH at 650AM to discuss route, goals, and conditions, to be moving by 7AM.
