Naturalist Trip - Port Angeles & North Olympic Coast

Puget Sound birds await us. We will bird the Olympic Peninsular's north coast from Ediz Hook toward the Kingstone Ferry. We will look for seabirds and also land birds, making numerous stops along the way and walking along the beach in a few places.

I will send more information out on arranging carpools. We need to catch the 7:10 Ferry at Kingston.

We will meet up at the Jamestown S"Kallam Tribe Rest area between 8:15 AM and 8:30 AM. Then go to the far end of Ediz Hook by the restrooms and boat launch getting there around 9 AM. Birding will begin at Ediz Hook although we can see some birds from the rest stop at Jamestown. We will give suggestions on arranging carpools from Seattle-Edmonds.

I plan to be back in Kingston with the goal of catching the 5:30 PM ferry.

Bring binoculars and if you have a scope, bring that too.

Bring warm clothes, layers, rain gear, Lunch. hot and cold drinks

This will be an intense birding trip but one never knows what we might find.
