Winter Scramble - Dixie Peak
(tentatively changed to Blowdown/Dixie due to snow conditions/access issues) A variable visit to a gorgeous alpine bowl that is off the beaten track. The specifics of this strenuous outing (~5000’ gain, ~12 miles, for fully vaccinated folks only) will be dictated by springtime conditions.

Other outings to this stupendous venue have been August/September trips, so a key part of this trip will be to discover how to best enjoy this spot with early season conditions. As a minimum we will ascend from near the Nisqually bridge parking area to the southern aspect of the cleaver separating Wilson Park from Van Trump Park:
(cleaver high point is on far right side of photo)
Depending on conditions, we may then traverse up and to the east into the eastern portion of Wilson Park. Photos from past trips can be seen here.
