Amabilis Mountain
A strenuous, 8 mile snowshoe or cross country ski with 2,200 ft in elevation gain off of I-90 from the Cabin Creek Sno-Park. The ascent is switchbacks on a forest service road through forest and the views from the top are scenic.
getting there
Take Exit 63 off of I-90 and park at Cabin Creek Sno-Park on the south side of I-90 (2,475 ft).
on the trail
Cross I-90 and follow the snow-covered Forest Road 4822 as it ascends toward Amabilis Mountain. Ski or snowshoe as far up the road as desired. Occasionally part of the road is groomed for cross-country skiing.
