Aneroid Lake
A moderate hike of 12.6 miles with 3000 feet of elevation ending in a subalpine lake in the Eagle Cap Wilderness. The hike starts on the north side of Eagle Cap Wilderness near Wallowa Lake State Park, about 60 miles sound of the Washington-Oregon border.
getting there
From OR-82 in Joseph, drive south on OR-351 to the Wallaowa River Trailhead in Wallowa Lake State Park (4,940 ft).
on the trail
Follow the East Fork Wallow Trail (No.1804). It enters the Eagle Cap Wilderness about a half mile from the trail. At 5.8 miles from the trailhead the route passes Rogers Lake. At 0.3 miles past Rogers Lake look for a trail to the right that heads up to Aneroid Lake. Hike that trail another 0.2 miles to the lake.
