Canyon Ridge
A moderate 6-mile round trip day hike with 1,300 feet of elevation gain, ridgeline views of both American and Canadian peaks, and meadows of wildflowers.
Getting There
Drive SR-542 (Mount Baker Highway) 2 miles past the Glacier Public Service Center. Turn left onto Forest Road 31 (Canyon Creek Rd) and follow it for just over 15 miles to the trailhead (4,250 ft).
on the trail
Start on the trail to Damfino Lakes and Exclesior Peak. In 0.7 mile turn left onto the Canyon Ridge Trail. Hike as far as you wish. Only the first ~2.3 miles of this trail are maintained. If you venture on, the going with be rough. Consider adding the Bounday Way Trail as a side trip. It's an added 4 miles round trip with 240 feet of elevation gain.
