getting there

Drive US-2 east of Baring/west of Skykomish and turn south onto NE Old Cascade Highway (Money Creek Campground). Turn right onto Miller River Rd NE and then right onto NE Money Creek Rd. Park at the intersection of Forest Roads 6420 and 6422 (1,000 ft).  It may be possible to drive further up Forest Road 6422, but is not likely worth the effort.

approach & ascent

Follow the Forest Road 4622 until it ends at a saddle south of Temple Mountain.  Alternatively, climb straight up ridge on the west side of a creek, crossing the road three or four times (mileage estimates are for taking this direct approach).  Follow the ridge SSW up and the point at 4,400 ft. Bypass a knife ridge on its west or east side and continue to the tarn at 4,560 ft.  Proceed easterly toward the northeast ridge of Cleveland Mountain and follow ridge to summit.
