Columbia Icefield Canada

Columbia Icefield is mainly located in Jasper National Park in Canada. Provides access to multiple glaciated peaks.

Some of the highest mountains in Canada are located around the edges of the Columbia Icefield, including Mount Columbia, North and South Twin Peak, Mount Alberta, Mount Bryce, and Mount Kitchener.  These represent destinations of varying difficulty, mileage, and elevation gain.

Backcountry overnight passes (called Random Camping passes) can be obtained by calling the Jasper National Park Information Service.  More info on their site: https://parks.canada.ca/pn-np/ab/jasper/activ/passez-stay/arrierepays-backcountry/sugg-sentiers_trip-ideas/camping-sauvage-random

Using the Icefields Parkway also requires a Canada National Parks Pass, available on the Parks Canada website: https://parks.canada.ca/
