Copper Creek
Copper Creek is a moderate, 5 mile in-and-out day hike with 2,400 ft in elevation gain. The trail goes up steeply through old-growth forest above Copper Creek.
This trail climbs steeply (2400' in 2.2 mi.) through old growth forest along a roaring creek and past a couple of interesting old mine shafts to make a loop on the shoulder ridge of Lightning Peak.
getting there
Travel US Highway 101 to Hoodsport. Turn onto SR 119, drive 9.0 miles to the junction with FS Road #24. Turn left, continue 6 miles to FS Road #2451. Turn left and cross the causeway. The trailhead is ½ mile on FS Road #2451, located on the left.
