A ten nautical mile, round trip, shoreline paddle with potential opportunities to play in dynamic water. Launch from the Crescent Bay Beach & RV Park and follow the shoreline West to the Lyre River delta and outfall. Large fetch and strong currents makes for potentially challenging conditions. A northerly wind can result in surfable waves at the Lyre River outfall as wind waves stack up in the outflowing river. Watch out for many small boomers, enjoy the wildlife, explore and play at the Lyre River, see & experience a relatively pristine coastal shoreline.

• Most of the beach at Crescent Bay is private. Please don’t land on the private beach, unless you’ve paid any necessary fees.
• This stretch features a biologically rich shoreline and even a cave accessible with the right tide height.
