Drive US-2 to Milepost 56, 10 miles east of Skykomish, 11 miles west of Stevens Pass, and 0.25 mile east of Deception Falls. Turn south onto Forest Road 6088 and continue 0.4 mile to the trailhead  (2,000 ft).

11.0 miles round trip with 1,200 feet of elevation gain 2,800 feet of elevation gain

Hike the Deception Creek Trail 5.5 miles, passing a waterfall along the way, to its junction with the Tonga Ridge Trail. Turn around here or continue on as far as desired.

Marmot & Jade Lakes

31 miles round trip with 2,900 feet of elevation gain

Hike 11.7 miles staying straight at all trail junctions to continue on the Deception Creek Trail. At the junction of the Deception Creek Tail, Pacific Crest Trail (PCT), and Lake Clarice Trail, turn right onto the Lake Clarice Trail. Hike 3.8 miles to the junction with the Marmot Lake Trail. From here, it's 0.9 mile to Lake Clarice and 0.7 mile to the campsites on Marmot Lake. Beyond the campsites there is a faint trail from Marmot Lake to No Name and Jade Lakes.
