Little Annapurna
A strenuous scramble of 15 miles and 5,400 feet of elevation gain. It's located in the heart of the Enchantments with its rugged terrain and spectacular views.
Getting There
From US-2 in Leavenworth turn south onto Icicle Creek Road. Follow for 8.6 miles to Bridge Creek Campground. Turn left and drive through the campground, crossing the river to Forest Road 7601 (Eightmile Creek Road). Drive 4 miles to the trailhead (3,500 ft).
APPROACH & ASCENT
Follow the Lake Stuart Trail for 2.5 miles then at the fork go left onto the Colchuck Lake Trail. Reach Colchuck Lake (5,570 ft) in another 1.8 miles. Follow the trail around the south end of lake then ascend to Aasgard Pass (7,800 ft). Hike east following the trail until Little Annapurna is to the south-southwest, then head south and ascend staying to the left near Little Annapurna's northeast ridge.
