Fox Island Circumnavigation
Sea kayak 11 nautical miles around Fox Island in South Puget Sound, just 5 miles from Gig Harbor. It's a South Sound classic. Also consider padding across Carr Inlet to Penrose Point, paddlign to Hale Passage & Wollochet Bay, paddling in Toliva Shoal, or hiking on the island's beaches.

- Access can also be gained at the fishing pier at Fox Island's south end. This is also a good pull out for lunch on the circumnavigation.

Toliva Shoal
A marine preserve marked by a buoy just south of Fox Island. The area is free of fishing boats and experiences conditions from flat to dynamic water depending on the wind and current conditions.
Hale Passage & Wollochet Bay

On the Trail
A little known island just 5 miles from Gig Harbor accessible by the Fox Island Bridge via Artondale. A great place to walk along the beach and enjoy the sand spits in a rarely visited part of Puget Sound. Hikes are up to 7 miles round trip and mostly flat.
