Greenwater, Echo & Lost Lakes
An easy, 4 mile hike with 500 ft in elevation gain to a moderate or an 11-14 mile hike with 1,500 feet of elevation gain. A walk through old growth forest in a pretty river valley with scenic bridges crossings in the Norse Peak Wilderness. The route is open to horses.
Getting There
From SR-410 near Greewater, drive Forest Road 70 to the Greenwater Lakes Trailhead.

4 miles round trip, 500 feet of elevation gain, 2,900 ft high point
Hike the Greenwater Lakes Trail (No. 1176) 2 miles to Greenwater Lakes. This is a nice easy day hike through old growth forest along the Greenwater River.
lost lake
11 miles round trip, 1,500 feet of elevation gain, 4,000 ft high point
From Greenwater Lakes hike 1.2 miles to the junction with the Lost Lake Trail (No. 1185) which crosses the river, switchbacks up the hillside and climbs up the Lost Creek valley. Pass the small Quinn lake is passed about 2.4 miles from thee junction, and reach Lost Lake 2.6 mile from the junction.
Echo Lake
14 miles round trip, 1,800 feet of elevation gain, 4,100 ft high point
From Greenwater Lakes hike 1.2 miles to the junction with the Lost Lake Trail (No. 1185). Continue on the Greenwater Lakes Trail (No. 1176) to Echo Lake.

- As of 2017, the Snoqualmie Ranger District considers Mountaineers trips and courses to be "nominal use". Leaders should print and copy this designation letter to show rangers they may see on trail.
