Guye Peak, Snoqualmie Mountain & Cave Ridge (Alpental)

Getting THere

Take Exit 52 off of I-90, drive to the Alpental Ski area and park at the Snow Lake Trailhead (3,120 ft).

approach & ascent

Guye Peak/North Route (5,168 ft)

5.0 miles round trip, 2,200 of elevation gain, difficulty: strenuous 2, technical 3

Find the boot path about 50 feet to the right of the Snow Lake Trailhead. The boot path goes to the base of Snoqualmie Mountain and Guye Peak. Follow boot path to boulder field (~4,250 ft) taking the right branch (signed) to the ridge. Then turn right,  pass a tarn and continue on to the summit.

Snoqualmie Mountain (6,278 ft)

6.0 miles round trip, 3,200 feet of elevation gain, difficulty: Strenuous 3, Technical 2

Find the boot path about 50 feet to the right of the Snow Lake trailhead. The boot path goes to the base of Snoqualmie Mountain and Guye Peak. Follow boot path staying left at all intersections until reaching the basin. Then go left to gain the ridge and follow ridge to summit.

Cave Ridge (5,270 ft)

Notes

• A boot path can be found to the summit in late season making this more of a hike than a scramble.

As of 2017, the Snoqualmie Ranger District considers Mountaineers trips and courses to be "nominal use". Leaders should print and copy this designation letter to show rangers they may see on trail.
