Ilahee Preserve Heritage Park
This area in Kitsap County between Bremerton and Silverdale was once destined to be a housing development. It was preserved through the work of local service groups, citizens, county officials and preservationists. The trails are very well maintained and signed at every junction. The heavily canopied trails make a great rainy day walk.
GETTING THERE
From downtown Bremerton, follow SR 303 (which goes from Warren Ave to Wheaton Way) 3 miles north, turn right onto NE Riddell Rd, continue for 0.3 mile, and turn left onto Almira Drive NE. Driveg 0.4 mile to the trailhead.
ON THE TRAIL
Head out from the parking lot with trail map in hand. Start by turning left and walkling north towards the Hall of Cedars Loop. With 34 trail junctions, have fun designing your own hike. There are several loop trails within the preserve, all connected by shorter intersecting trails.
