Laurelhurst
Hike up and down city streets and stairs from the University of Washington's Center for Urban Horticulture to Lake Washington and return in a grand loop.
On the Trail
Once heavily wooded, this two hour jaunt extends Hike 6, Laurelhurst, in Seattle Stairway Walks. Start at the Center for Urban Horticulture and head through Yesler Swamp on a developed trail, swing through Talaris Conference Center grounds (if permission is granted) and explore Laurelhurst Community Center. Then find the stairways, 101 up and 222 down), twice touching Lake Washington before a wandering back along different streets.
