on the trail
Beginning at the Carter Lake Trailhead (Trail #1020) hike a combination of recently converted road-to-trail multi-use trails, decommissioned roads, gated roads and grassy boot paths to the treeless summit of West Hansen Ridge before continuing on to Little St. Helens. Enjoy expansive views during the hike, weather permitting, of the peaks to the east & west along the I-90 corridor and north to those at the head of the Snoqualmie Middle Fork Valley. Expansive views appear to the south, including Mount Rainier, as you near the summit and continue on to the peak of Little St. Helens.
