Mayfield Lake, Cowlitz & Tilton Gorges
A moderate 12 nm sea kayak trip up the Tilton and Cowlitz Rivers at the northeast end of Mayfield Lake near Mossyrock.

Paddle up the Tilton River until current is too strong. Then paddle back past the launch point, into the Cowlitz River, and up to the Highway 12 bridge or further. Except for the Mayfield Lake crossing, most of the paddle is protected from wind, but plan for currents up to 3 knots.
