Moran State Park
Easy to strenuous out-and-back or loop hikes in one of Washington;'s state park on Orcas Island in the San Juans. One of the more popular hikes is a moderate to the island's high point, Mount Constitution. It's often done as a loop with Mountain Lake visited on the return.
Getting there
Take the Washington State Ferry to Orcas Island. Drive to and park at one of the trailheads or parking areas in the park.
On the trail

The trail begins with a short road jaunt towards Mountain Lake. At 1.25 miles reach a junction, head right for Mountain Lake or head left for the summit of Mount Constitution. After heading left, reach a second junction in another mile. Head left for Mount Constitution or left to for Little Twins and the Picketts. Reach the summit of Mount Constitution (4 miles in from the trailhead) and enjoy excellent views of Orcas and the surrounding San Juan islands.
