Mount Hinman/West Route
A Basic Alpine climb in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness that takes you through the Necklace Valley.
getting there
Turn south onto Forest Road 68 (Foss River Road) from US 2 just east of the Skykomish Ranger Station. Follow Forest Road 68 for about 4 miles to the Necklace Valley Trailhead.
APPROACH
Hike the Necklace Valley Trail to a camp at La Bohn Lakes. Ascent to La Bohn Lakes via La Bohn Gap or the waterfall route.
ASCENT ROUTE
Ascend due north from La Bohn Gap to the summit. Snowfields may be present, but the Hinman Glacier no longer exists.
DESCENT ROUTE
Descend the climbing route.
