Neiderprum Trail
Steep 7 miles round trip, 3000' elevation gain fall line trail. Views to the Stillaguamish Valley, peaks of the North Cascades, and Whitehorse.
First mile is wide and smooth, second so-so, steep. Remainder, less of a trail, more of a boot beaten path following the fall line. Logs, mountain ash, huckleberry, salmonberry and devils club to a tilted brushy meadow at 3800', bushwacking expected.
Hwy 530 east, 24 miles from Arlington. Turn right on Mine Road, @ 0.5 mi. keep left, @ 0.7 mi. go left on Forest Road 2030, @ 2 mi. trailhead, signed Neiderprum Trail # 653.
