Nolte State Park

A 111-acre state park with forest and a one-mile trail around Deep Lake near the Green River Gorge. It's a short drive from Enumclaw, Auburn and Federal Way. It's the perfect opportunity to get out and explore and photograph nature.

On the Trail

Hike the short, flat 1-mile loop around Deep Lake. It's the perfect opportunity to get out for the morning or afternoon to explore nature with your camera. The lake is a resting spot for migratory birds. The forest is filled with Big Leaf Maples and Vine Maples as well as other Pacific Northwest trees and shrubs. The trail is easy to walk for families and hikers with mobility issues.
